Up, Up, and Away

I'm finally off again. After spending the past 9 months working in London and learning to ride a motorcycle with some success I am going to Australia via Singapore. I'm intending to carry on where I left off last time.

But before all that I get the pleasure of check-in at Heathrow. This should be good. I've packed some good books so those should keep me occupied after I have gone around the Dixons at the terminal a couple of times. Then there's always the McFilth and the "bar".

Why do airlines recommend that you walk around the cabin on long haul flights and then say you've got to keep your seat belts loosely fastened? Why do they advise against drinking alcohol on flights and then offer you loads of free booze when you take off? I'll ask my Dad; he'll know.

I will, of course, be updating this journal as I go. With any luck I'll get into some crazy adventures or meet people of an interesting and ancient culture. Or maybe I'll just have a beer.
